Protection of the Guild’s mission and standards

Governance exists to serve the trade and the public — not personalities.

LEGAL STATUS

The BC Bicycle Mechanics Guild is in the process of incorporation as a British Columbia non-profit society.

Once incorporated, the Guild will operate in accordance with:

The BC Societies Act
Its constitution and bylaws
Published standards and policies

The Guild operates independently of any employer, brand, or political body.

GOVERNING BODY

The Guild is governed by a Board of Directors, responsible for:

Funding does not equal authority.
